(1) In July 1992, at the invitation of the Barbados Cave Hill Campus of the University of the West Indies, Dean Wang Rongpei of Dalian Foreign Languages Institute paid a friendly visit to Barbados as the head of a four-member delegation. The two sides signed an agreement on educational and cultural exchanges, relating to teachers, students, books, teaching materials and information concerning library management and languages.
(2) In accordance with the Cultural Agreement between the Government of the People's Republic of China and the Government of Barbados, 1980, China provides one or two Government Scholarship to Barbadian students every year.
In 2006, Chinese Government offered eight Government Scholarships to Barbadian students. At present, eight Barbadian students are studying at Chinese universities with the Chinese Government Scholarship.
