On March 16, 2026, Ambassador Zheng Bingkai attended the Inclusive Growth Workshop organized by the International Monetary Fund's Caribbean Regional Technical Assistance Center (CARTAC).

In his opening remarks, Ambassador Zheng Bingkai stated that China has always been committed to strengthening friendly relations with Barbados and the Caribbean region as a whole, and is willing to deepen cooperation with international institutions, including the IMF, to jointly explore avenues and models for deepening practical cooperation. Through high-level cooperation, we aim to support regional countries in achieving inclusive growth.

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) Caribbean Regional Technical Assistance Center (CARTAC) is one of the IMF's regional technical assistance centers worldwide, aimed at providing capacity building and technical support to member countries in the Caribbean region. Its work covers areas such as macroeconomic policy, taxation, and financial regulation, with the goal of promoting regional economic stability and growth.
