On the morning of March 6th,2026, the signing ceremony for the donation of medical equipment from the Chinese government to Barbados was held at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH). His Excellency Zheng Bingkai, Ambassador of China to Barbados, and the Honorable Lisa Cummins, Minister of Health and Wellness of Barbados, attended the event and witnessed the signing on behalf of their respective governments.
In his remarks, Ambassador Zheng stated that the donation of medical equipment by the Chinese government represents the latest achievement in the close cooperation between China and Barbados in the healthcare sector and serves as a vivid reflection of the joint effort to build a China-Barbados community with a shared future.
