On February 27, Ambassador Zheng Bingkai attended, upon invitation, the book launch of Memories of China authored by former Barbadian Ambassador to China Dr. Braithwaite.

Ambassador Zheng extended his congratulations to Dr. Braithwaite and commended him for his long-standing commitment to promoting China–Barbados friendship. He noted that Memories of China, written from a unique perspective in vivid and accessible language, presents an objective, authentic, and multi-dimensional image of China. The book is not only a personal memoir, but also a valuable historical record reflecting the bonds between the peoples of the two countries. It will inject new vitality into cultural and people-to-people exchanges and add fresh momentum to the sustained and sound development of bilateral relations.

Dr. Braithwaite remarked that his four-year tenure in China was an unforgettable chapter of his life. He sincerely hopes that friends from all sectors in Barbados will use the book as a starting point to further study China, deepen their understanding of the country, and enable the friendship between Barbados and China to bear even more fruitful results through mutual understanding.
