On January 22, Ambassador Zheng Bingkai had a productive meeting with Mr. Okechukwu Ihejirika, Acting Chief Operating Officer at the Caribbean Office at African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank). Accompanied by Economic and Commercial Counselor Mr. Lei Hao.

Ambassador Zheng introduced China’s practical cooperation with Barbados across various fields and expressed China’s willingness to further explore active cooperation with the African Export-Import Bank.

Mr. Ihejirika briefed the Ambassador on the African Export-Import Bank’s African Trade Centre (B-AATC) project to be established in Barbados, as well as a series of initiatives by Afreximbank to promote South-South trade and investment. He also expressed interest in actively exploring cooperation with Chinese enterprises.
