Ambassador Zheng noted that under the strategic guidance of the heads of state of both countries, political mutual trust has been deepening and practical cooperation has been carried out in an all-round manner. China is willing to further strengthen bilateral training and tertiary education cooperation with Barbados, actively advance collaboration in areas such as technical training, vocational education, and other fields to assist Barbados in promoting national industrial upgrading and economic transformation.

Minister Husbands warmly welcomed Ambassador Zheng to his new role and expressed gratitude for China’s long-standing support to Barbados. She expressed the hope of seizing the opportunities of China's modernization,broadening the scope of cooperation in vocational education, with a particular focus on technical training and teacher training in fields such as electronic technology and artificial intelligence(AI), so as to help Barbados in actively integrating into the global technology industry landscape.
