On January 8th, 2020,the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Barbados held the the press conference for the Sixth Fish and Dragon Festival. The representatives of the Central Bank of Barbados, the Confucius Institute of the University of West Indies, Cave Hill Campus, the Chinese Association of Barbados and the AJA productions attended this press conference, as well as the local media including Advocate, Nation, CBC and Barbados Today representatives.
As part of the "Happy Chinese New Year" celebrations overseas, the Embassy of China in Barbados will hold the Sixth "Fish and Dragon Festival" together with the Central Bank of Barbados by inviting Jilin Art Troupe to perform in Barbados and organizing events including street fairs, workshops and art performances to show Chinese culture and the art of Peking Opera during January 16th to January 18th.
