Letter of Invitation:

Dear Sir/Madam,

We cordially welcome you to the 10th China International Fair for Investment & Trade (CIFIT), China's sole nation-wide international investment promotion event focusing on pushing forward bilateral investments.

The annual CIFIT, which is held in Xiamen during Sept.8-11, is an event approved by the State Council of the People's Republic of China. CIFIT is currently one of the largest global international investment promotion events that have been approved by UFI (the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry). Each year, CIFIT attracts more than ten thousand overseas visitors from 100 countries and regions.

CIFIT is sponsored by China's Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM), and co-sponsored by United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), International Finance Corporation (IFC) and World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA). The numerous CIFIT members from Provincial Governments throughout China, relevant Ministries, Commissions, and Offices under China's Central Government, as well as national trade associations organize delegations to participate in the Fair. Foreign Governmental Institutions, Commercial Associations and enterprises are invited to introduce their foreign investment policies, investment environments and investment projects, and to network with potential Chinese enterprises. Along with CIFIT's growing international influence, more and more developed countries, developing countries, and international economic organization are paying attention and participating in this event. CIFIT has not only become an important platform for china to attracting FDI and Going Global, but it also becomes an important bridge for investment among foreign countries.

During the 10th CIFIT, China's Ministry of Commerce will continue to conduct the "International Investment Forum" and dozens of seminars on hot investment issues. CIFIT will invite VIPs from the Chinese State Government, Foreign Countries and International Economic Organizations, Nobel Prize Winners, celebrated economists and multinational officers to deliver speeches.

The 9th CIFIT in 2005 saw over 12,000 overseas visitors from 125 countries and regions, including delegations sent by 350 overseas institutions from 90 countries and regions. Governmental institutions, trade associations and enterprises from 61 countries set up their booths. More than one thousand investment projects were introduced by 66 countries and regions, and 7 countries and regions from Sweden, Poland, Italy, Belgium, Denmark, Hong-Kong, and Macao sponsored Pavilion Day activities. The 10th CIFIT will continue to provide services for global trade and investment through exhibition, matchmaking symposium, policy consultation, and commercial activities with policy and information releases.

Our sincere welcome is ever extended to governmental institutions, intermediate agencies, investors, and traders to attend the 10th China International Fair for Investment & Trade.
