On October 4th, H.E. Yan Xiusheng, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Barbados bid a farewell call to H.E. The Most Honourable Dame Sandra Mason, President of Barbados.

    Ambassador Yan conveyed the sincere greetings of President Xi Jinping to President Mason, briefly reviewed the development of China-Barbados relations during his tenure, expressed gratitude for her assistance, and stated that China is willing to work with Barbados to implement the important consensus reached by both countries’ leaders, elevating political mutual trust, practical cooperation, and people to people exchanges to new heights.

    President Mason extended her best wishes to President Xi Jinping and congratulated on the 75th anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China. She highly praised Ambassador Yan’s dedication to advancing bilateral relations during his tenure, expressed gratitude for the generous assistance provided by the Chinese government and people in promoting Barbados' economic and social development, and committed to contiunue the friendly relations between the two countries.
