On  October 1st, H. E. Yan Xiusheng, Ambassador of the People's Republic of  China to Barbados bid a farewell call to The Hon. Kerrie Symmonds,  Senior Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of  Barbados. Counselor Huang Xinhua and Liang Jie attended.

  Ambassador  Yan expressed gratitude to the Barbados government and friends from all  walks of life for their support and assistance during his tenure. He  expressed hope that both sides would work together to implement the  important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, further  deepen exchanges and cooperation in various fields, and jointly promote  the steadfast and long-term development of friendly relations between  China and Barbados.

  Minister  Symmonds commended Ambassador Yan for his dedication and contribution  to the development of China-Barbados friendly relations during his  tenure of post. He emphasized that Barbados attaches great importance to  its relationship with China and expressed a willingness to maintain  close communication with the China to jointly elevate bilateral  relations to a new level.
