Notification for the effective implementation of the Agreement between China and Barbados on Mutual Visa Exemption for Holders of Ordinary Passports

The Agreement between the Government of the People’s Republic of China and The Government of Barbados on Mutual Visa Exemption for Holders of Ordinary Passports will enter into force on June 1, 2017. According to the agreement, citizens of the People’s Republic of China holding valid ordinary passports of the People’s Republic of China, and citizens of Barbados holding valid ordinary passports of Barbados, shall be exempted from visa requirements for entry into, exit from or transit through the territory of the other Contracting party, for a period of stay not exceeding thirty (30) days from the date of their entry.

Citizens of either Contracting Party who intend to enter and stay in territory of the other Contracting Party for a period of more than thirty (30) days or to study, reside, engage in employment, media activities or other activities which shall be approved in advance by the other Contracting Party’s competent authorities, shall apply for the visa before entering the territory of the other Contracting Party.
